The Punta Cana International Airport continues to be one of the busiest in the Caribbean, with peaks of up to 200 daily flights landing and taking off on its tracks, this also includes a great growth in business class or VIP travelers.
Having to make long stops or that your flight is delayed is one of the biggest concerns for travelers. To rest in an armchair, have a coffee or walk around the airport are the main occupations until the time of boarding. However every day there are more airports that include different «attractions» to make the wait more bearable.
The last to be updated was the Punta Cana International Airport in the Dominican Republic, with the construction of a luxury VIP room with an outdoor pool next to the runway.
Will open in December
The pool is just one of the many new features of the new VIP lounge designed by the Dominican architect Antonio Segundo Imbert, which will be inaugurated in December 2017. The airport currently has two VIP lounges in terminals A and B, open to passengers preferential class as well as those who buy the pass to these rooms.
The Punta Cana International Airport receives direct flights from more than 28 countries and 96 cities around the world. With more than 5.9 million international passengers arriving each year, the PUJ is the busiest airport in the Dominican Republic and the second busiest in the Caribbean.
